The Art Sessions....
My Dad Keith and I have been getting together on a regular basis to paint with acrylics. He has been going to art classes for some time now and is getting really good!
We have been working on projects in differing styles and have looked to other artists for inspiration as well as painting along with artists on YouTube.
This is a really great way to learn new techniques and you can go at your own pace. I have mostly painted along with Ginger Cook and her daughter Cinnamon aka The Art Sherpa, and I can recommend both for the beginner to the more accomplished artist.
So here are a few of the pieces I have been working on.....
These little houses were inspired by American Folk Artist Karla Gerard.
Abstract on canvas board, inspired by an image by an unknown artist on Pinterest. (If anyone knows then please contact me so I can credit them)
The original piece is the other way up, however I liked mine this way!
Painted on Acrylic paper, I painted along with The Art Sherpa on YouTube. Search for the Art Sherpa's, Dark Fairytale Woods Red Riding hood, if you would like to give it a go!
Painted from a photograph, I've not quite finished this piece yet. I will post a photo when it's completed!
